Subject: Appeal letter for college

Dear Mrs. Virata,

I am writing this letter in order to appeal the rejection letter that I have received yesterday. I was very disappointed. I was aware that my marks were not so high but they were definitely above the average.  I also was aware that the exam that I passed in September will not bring me high score since I was ill on the date of exam. For that reason I retook the exam in November and my new score was much higher.

Please, find enclosed the document that proves the new score of retaken exam. I know that your policy doesn’t welcome appeals but I also hope that my appeal will be considered.

I am looking forward to studying at your college, and all my efforts have only one reason: to become a student at your college.

Please, consider my case and provide me with an answer as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance,

Sincerely,

Bob Mins
