Subject: Denial of Leaves

Sir,

I wish to bring it under your notice that I expected to take seven days leave to fly down south on the occasion of my brother’s marriage. However I have been denied the leaves despite of 10 days leaves remaining in my account. Also no concrete reason was given by the manager for such denial.

I am expected to work on behalf of another staff of my department who is also on leave for the same period. I understand the concern of the organization but I feel my application has not been seriously considered for an occasion like this cannot be missed.

Also the company’s rules give me a right to utilize my granted leaves as and when desired. I assure you that no work will be left pending on my behalf.

I comprehend that this is the peek business period and the company needs to remain fully staffed at this time but this function is of utter importance to me and so I request you to re consider my application and let me use my pending leaves.

Thank you

James Pattrick
