Dear Mr. Henry,

This is with reference to your letter dated 10th September with regard to the discrepancies in the loan interest rate being charged by your bank.

As per your letter you have complained that your bank authorities have failed to stick to the interest rate that was promised to you during the home loan festival where you were granted instant loan @ interest rate of 8% per annum. After the loan was disbursed you have noticed that the company is now charging interest rate of 9% on the home loan amount.

We have gone through your correspondence with your home company regarding the interest rate discrepancy. Besides, we have also verified other supporting documents submitted by you. We are satisfied with the documentation submitted by you and accept the complaint.

We understand the inconvenience caused to you in this regard. We will initiate enquiry and seek the response from your home loan company.

Banking Ombudsman has lot of experience in dealing with such similar cases and you can be relied upon as regards this inquiry. If we need your assistance we shall contact you and seek the necessary information.
