Dear Sir,

I write to you to tender my resignation with immediate effect as the cashier of the Chennai branch of the state bank of India. I have been offered a better position with suitable remuneration as the chief manager of the Chennai branch of ICICI bank. Please treat this letter as the equivalent of my required two weeks’ notice as per the terms of my contract and hence my last day of work will be the 31st of July 2012.

I also want to thank you personally for the guidance and mentorship you have provided me over the course of my professional association with the State Bank of India. I know I have been extremely lucky to have been associated with such a reputed institution at the very beginning of my career and I know that I only have you to thank for making my stay a success.

I regret the fact that this marks the end of our professional relationship but I sincerely hope that we do forge a personal friendship since my respect for you is in no way diminished by my departure.

I apologize for taking up your valuable time and remain, forever,
