Executive Director,

State Bank of India,

Chennai Branch,

Dated: 14th July 2012

Subject: Resignation from internship

Respected Sir,

This is to humbly inform you that I am resigning from my position as an intern in the finance department of your institution, the State Bank of India, Chennai branch, Chennai.

I had joined your institution as an intern in the finance department on the 1st of June 2012 with a minimum period of internship of one month. However, upon successful completion of the minimum service clause, I am finding the increasing work load too much to handle and feel like I am unable to serve your company to the best of my abilities.

In addition to that, I am pursuing a master’s degree in supply chain management and the course work for the same is oppressive, especially in the current final year. Under the present circumstances, I am unable to devote time to either my study or my professional commitments to your company.

I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity you provided me when you chose my application to work as an intern in your company and thereby gave me the exposure that I am sure will be instrumental in my career.

I sincerely thank you for the opportunity and hope I haven’t caused too much inconvenience.

Thanking you,

Yours Sincerely,
