Dear Mr. Kaalki,

This letter is to notify you that I am officially resigning from my work as a creative writer of this publishing firm.  My resignation is effective thirty days after receiving this letter.  Rest assured that I am tendering my resignation for reasons unrelated to the work and the publishing firm.  I need to attend to my child who has recently been diagnosed with a learning disability which requires me to give him full attention and help.

I thank the company for providing wonderful opportunities for my career growth in the ten years that I have spent as a writer.  My writing skills have significantly been developed because of my stay in the firm.  I am also thankful for the various trainings that I have been given.  All the staff and employees have also been sources of additional knowledge for me which I will carry with me in my life.

May the firm continue to flourish and succeed in all its endeavors.

Sincerely,

Ms. Pragati Maiti
