Respected Sir/Ma’am,

I am submitting my retirement letter, in effect from _____________ (date and day) as I have reached the mandatory retirement age. With mixed emotions I bid adieu to this school which has taught me so much.

With the plethora of activities and responsibilities that are required to be carried out in order to run a school, one gets a very diverse kind of exposure. That along with everyday intermingling with such charged young minds really fuels one’s passion for life and all its struggles. Everyday has been different from the previous for the past years of my life as a school teacher. When I got into the profession I knew this was what I wanted to do and today as I walk out, I know I don’t regret my choice.

I extend a very warm thanks to all my co workers, senior management, non teaching staff and the very bubbly, rebellious and highly complicated student community for giving me the best years of my life. I must admit that I have learned more than what I have taught in all these years of teaching, each days of which has been a dose of new realizations for me.

Thanking you

Yours sincerely
