How to write a romantic letter

By | October 10, 2011

Writing romantic letters is not an easy job for most of us.  When it comes to expressing our feeling, very often we fail short.  However, if you follow these simple tips, you too can write romantic letters and make your loved one happy.

  1. Hand-written letters are always better than computer print outs or typed ones.  So, make sure to write out your romantic letters.
  2. Use hand-made paper or special paper instead of office stationery, that way your loved one will know that you have made a special effort for him/her.
  3. Before you start writing, gather your thoughts.  The content should come straight from the heart for it to have any impact. So, be genuine.
  4. The letter must convey feelings as if you are talking to your loved one.  So, use colloquial language instead of high-sounding words, which may not have the same effect.
  5. Express yourself without holding back your true feelings, talk about how you fell in love with him/her.  Write about the things you like in the person and tell how much the person has made a difference to you.  The whole purpose of a romantic letter is to convey your true feelings, so go ahead and do it.
  6. After you have written the letter, go over it to see if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes.  It is not very nice to read a letter full of spelling or grammatical mistakes.  As far as possible avoid scratching off lines or words.
  7. Though it may sound clichéd, do tell the person how much you love him/her.  People always want to know how much they are loved, so don’t forget to tell your special one that.  It is never too many times.

If you follow the above tips, you are sure to impress your partner with your romantic letter.
